We’re a community of Christians passionate about racial justice.
We started meeting together as a core team some months after the murder of George Floyd. As we gathered we kept coming back to the need for us to know our history and the powerful role that repentance & lament held in the racial justice and reconciliation journey.
As disciples of Jesus, we’ve been called to follow the example of Jesus. We have been given a grace to do this. So, we can face our history, no matter how dark it is. We can lean into repentance and lament, with a posture of humility. We can be courageous to take action, to see systems and structures change.
If you’re new to all of this and have only recently started learning about the deep systemic racial injustice in the UK – then welcome. We’d love to recommend a few resources for you as a great place to start:
If you have been on this journey for a while, then thank you! Have you checked out the following?
